Hàng năm,Tạp chí The Oil and Gas Journal thường xuất bản một ấn phẩm trong đó công bố danh sách các nhà máy lọc dầu trên toàn thế giới. Danh sách này được trình bày thành bảng, bao gồm vị trí nhà máy, công suất lọc dầu hàng ngày, quy mô mỗi đơn vị xử lý trong nhà máy. Đối với nước Mỹ, danh sách này còn được phân loại chi tiết hơn theo các bang. Ấn phẩm này dày khoảng 45 trang và được cập nhật mỗi năm: thêm bớt, thay đổi tên và công suất nhà máy, vv.  Dưới đây là danh sách các nhà máy lọc dầu trên thế giới.
